Apparently some auto dealers sell cars to folks with bad credit if those folks agree to allow a box to be installed int heir car that gives the dealer remote access. In other words if they fall behind in the payments the car can be shut off remotely. This led to madcap mayhem in Austin recently when a guy hacked into the system and shut off 100 cars.
